Oral Hearing for the Dublin Waste to Energy Project

Day 5: Wednesday 25th April

The oral hearing continued today with the Dublin City Council witnesses reading in their briefs of evidence. Speaking first was Mr. Colm Traynor Assistant Chief Fire Officer for Dublin City Council who presented evidence on Emergency Planning. Ms. Jennifer Harmon of AWN read in her brief of evidence on Noise and Vibration. DHI, who were giving evidence on the thermal plume and discharge of biocides from the cooling water system, were represented by Dr. Hans Jacob Vested and Dr. Dorte Rasmussen. Mr. Sean Mason of Arup Consulting gave evidence on Soils, Geology and Groundwater. Mr. Wayne Bedford gave evidence on the Archaeological and Culture Heritage of the site. Dr. Dieter Schrenk presented evidence on Human Health. Mr. Don Menzies of Arup Consulting gave evidence on Major Accident Hazards. Finally, Ms. Eleanor Mayes read in her brief of evidence on Conservation Designations in Dublin Bay and Wintering Waterfowl.
