Oral Hearing for the Dublin Waste to Energy Project

Day 6: Thursday 26th April

At the oral hearing today, the Dublin City Council witnesses continued to read in their briefs of evidence. Dr. Edward Porter of AWN Consulting read in his evidence on both Air Quality and Climate. Following Dr. Porter was Mr. Andrew Buroni of RPS Brighton, England who gave evidence on Public Health. The morning session concluded with Dr. Fergal Callaghan of AWN Consulting reading in his brief of evidence on the PCDD/F concentration in soil and PCDD/F intake.

The afternoon session saw Dr. Brian Madden of Biosphere Environmental Services, read in his evidence on Terrestrial Ecology. Ms. Ria Lyden of Arup consulting followed with her evidence on both Sustainability and Cumulative Impacts. Finally, Mr. John Singleton of Dublin City Council read in Mr. Chris Emblow’s brief of evidence on Aquatic Ecology. Mr. Emblow, who works for Ecoserve, was unable to attend the hearing due to illness.

The Inspector has decided to adjourn the oral hearing this evening until Tuesday 15th May. Details of the time and location of the remainder of the hearing will be posted on this site in advance.
