Oral Hearing for the Dublin Waste to Energy Project

Day 17 - Wednesday 30th May

The oral hearing for the proposed Dublin Waste to Energy project continued today at the Gresham Hotel. The hearing began with Dublin City Council providing clarifications on a number of issues requested by the Inspector. This was followed by questioning of Dublin City Council’s Sustainability Panel by Mr. Joe McCarthy.

Following this, submissions from Mr. Joe McCarthy, Mr. Damien Cassidy, Mr. Tom Plunket and Mr. Morris Bryan were heard. Finally, Mr. Bill Shipsey S.C. read in Dublin City Council’s closing statement. Today saw the official ending of the proceedings however, the hearing will reopen on June 7th to hear an additional submission from Mr. Joe McCarthy relating to climate only.
