Visitors flocked to Dublin Waste to Energy for a tour of the plant during Open House Dublin week

Open House! Visitors take a look behind the scenes at DW

As part of the Irish Architecture Foundation’s week-long Open House Dublin event,  Dublin Waste-To-Energy welcomed visitors for a look behind the scenes at the landmark facility.

On 18th October, almost 200 people visiting the site for a presentation and tour, coordinated by the plant’s education lead, Tracy Pelosi, the DWTE team and Encyclis.

Among the visitors was a television news crew from RTE who captured the occasion and spoke to the facility’s Project Director Kieran Mullins about its essential role in managing the region’s residual waste, recovering resources, generating baseload electricity and soon supplying a district heat network which is currently under construction.
