Kieran Mullins
Project Director
Kieran has overall responsibility for the Dublin Waste to Energy project. He has 21 years of experience in the waste industry. Prior to joining Covanta in 2015, he held several senior roles in the non-hazardous waste business within the Veolia Group, and led their hazardous waste business in Ireland for five years. Kieran has served as Director of the Irish Waste Management Association since 2005, and was its Chairman from 2013 to 2016.
Donal Fanning
Director of Operations
Donal is Director of Operations for the Dublin Waste to Energy facility. He has 14 years of experience in the construction, commissioning, maintenance and management of plants in Ireland and abroad. His industrial plant operations experience spans coal, peat and biomass, and he managed the Tynagh Power Plant in Galway. Donal has been a part of the DWTE team since 2016 and previously served as Chief Engineer for the facility.
Robert Andrews
Operations Manager
Robert is responsible for the safe day-to-day operations of the Dublin Waste to Energy facility. He has over eight years of experience in the commissioning and operation of Waste to Energy plants. Robert has developed a number of projects, including the mapping of thermal load in relation to the calorific value of the waste fuel. He has worked on the DWTE project since 2016 and held the role of Shift Supervisor during the start-up of the plant before becoming Operations Manager with Covanta in 2019.
